The Osteopathic Act 1993 The Osteopathic Practice

Osteopathy was the first complementary therapy to receive statutory regulation by Parliament. The British Medical Association (BMA) supported the state registration of Osteopaths.

  • All Osteopaths at the practice are registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
  • Osteopathy, like dentistry, can be given independently or in conjunction with your GP. The majority of osteopathic patients self refer.
  • All Osteopaths must have full public liability insurance.
